Upon researching various options, I came across a robot vacuum-mop combo that had received positive reviews. The prospect of a device that could handle both tasks was appealing, and the available discount made it an opportune purchase. The unit arrived promptly and, to my surprise, was almost fully charged. After a brief 20-minute top-up, I filled the water reservoir with tap water and set the robot to work. I appreciated its methodical cleaning pattern, moving back and forth in parallel lines, a significant improvement over my Deebot's random navigation. Observing the dampened floor trail, I felt optimistic about its mopping capabilities.
Upon returning home, I was pleased to find the living room floor spotless. However, I had neglected to close the bedroom door, and the robot had ventured into the master bathroom, ending up on the rug—a minor oversight on my part. Emptying the dustbin revealed a surprising amount of debris, even though I had vacuumed prior to the robot's operation. Notably, the water reservoir had used minimal water, indicating efficient mopping. For future cleaning sessions, I'll ensure all doors are appropriately closed to prevent misnavigation. I have yet to explore the app and Wi-Fi functionalities, which promise additional convenience. One feature I miss from my Deebot is a storage pocket on the charging dock for the remote control. Nonetheless, this new robot came equipped with two AAA batteries for the remote, an extra set of side brushes, and a spare filter. I look forward to many more cleaning sessions with this upgraded device.
I like the little mop feature but don't use it too often. I've only used it 3 times in the last 4 months to do a spot clean on the kitchen floor in between the deep cleans.
If you're looking for a vacuum cleaner that's going to leave your floors spotless after every use, you're going to be disappointed. It does keep most of the hair in check in between big cleanings so if youre looking for something to help out a bit this will work great for the price. I like the app and the fact that I can turn it on from work to have it run before I get home. Plus, my cat likes it.
For context, I'm chronically disabled and my partner is autistic. Cleaning has always been difficult, especially the floors. As disgusting as it is, we just sort of let the floor get bad. Hairs and debree got stuck, and our mop wasn't the best. We did sweep occasionally, but we are busy and have to go to my appointment, so there wasn't much we could do to handle the filth.
Because homes usually get worse during the holidays because you are staying in more, I got a vaccum that wasn't a robot vacuum to help. However, we needed a mop, and our current mop wasn't very good. Because of that, even if $200 is a lot for people like us, we figured the deal was more than worth it because we very much needed it. And oh boy, we did.
PROS:
Cleans floors amazingly
Isn't too loud
Mops and vacuums at the same time, something that would otherwise be impossible with regular household gear and a regular cleaning regiment.
Gives our house more life, and can be fun to look and interact with
Is able to timed and customized endlessly with the in built app
App is free
Is easy to connect to charger
CONS:
Small water tank so it doesn't mop for very long. Water tank drips even when not attached to vaccum
Gets stuck in desk chairs
Has an AI which while advanced, may be lacking in certain areas since desk chairs and chairs in general are a major obstacle for it
Can get large mads of hair stuck half way easily, leading to an awkward hair trail or something that could become a huge mess if not taken out
Beyond that, this is a great product. I still rate it 5 stars despite the issues stated since they're minor inconveniences and don't ruin the product. However if the company can improve the product, that would be very much appreciated.
