This lift arrived yesterday and the packaging was torn up and not really robust enough for the weight of the item. Once opened, it was a big mystery for a few minutes on what needed to be assembled. I took out the exploded mechanical drawing and within 15-20 minutes I had the lift together. Make no mistake, this is a rugged well constructed lift that fit very well under my 2011 Heritage Softail but again no operating instructions or assembly instructions.

As a few others have stated, I'm not a big fan at the rate of descent using the foot peddle. A little fast for my comfort, but I have to say, I raised and lowered the bike 15-20 times tonight without incident, but a lower more controlled descent would be a big plus in my book for the $$ I paid for the lift, and more importantly the money I paid for my Harley.

So in summary, the lift is decent and overall well made for the money. The company could really improve their overall feedback on this item by doing the following:

    1. Include a simple set of assembly instructions
    2. Include a simple set of operating instructions
    3. Improve the performance of the descent of the lift with a 850lb bike on it. (smooth and slow are the desired outcomes)
    4. Improve the packaging

In my opinion this is simple stuff to really reap the rewards of improved customer satisfaction, and an overall more robust product and customer experience.
